The suburban community of Laurel is located in Prince George’s County less than 20 miles from Washington, D.C. Laurel is home to over 22,000 residents and runs alongside the Patuxent River with a land area of approximately 3.8 square miles. Though Laurel was originally developed as a mill town with early products such as woolen hats and blankets, the community now harbors a largely diverse economy.
